The Rochester Minnesota Branch of the NAACP invites you to the NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet 2022: A Celebration of Black Businesses. The banquet will focus on and celebrate the long-standing black businesses in our community as well as recent start up black businesses. In addition to entertainment, keynote speaker, and special guest appearances, this celebration will feature a “roll call of black businesses” and the inaugural presentation of the special black business awards which will recognize businesses for their endurance, service to the community and innovation.
About the NAACP
Founded in 1909 in response to the ongoing violence against Black people around the country, the NAACP is the largest and most preeminent civil rights organization in the nation. It has over 2,200 units and branches across the nation, along with well over 2 million activists. Its mission is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all people.
